It has been manufactured from much stronger and more durable components to enhance its filtration capabilities. The unit is uniquely sealed to maintain pressure and avoid cross-contamination of clean and dirty oil. In all other similar systems, the dirty oil is returned to the sump due to low pressure. The eQlyps automatic backflushing lube oil filter comes fitted with a backflush pump which increases the flow and pressure to support the filtration process.

At the heart of the eQlyps is the new Q series automatic backflushing filter. The Q series, the next generation of automatic backflushing filters, has totally unique features to increase performance and improve the efficiency of the filtration process.

1. Fully Sealed

The Q series backflushing automatic filter is uniquely sealed to avoid cross-contamination of clean and dirty lubrication oil. The new Q series automatic backflushing filter has a uniquely sealed distributor cover. As dirty lubricating oil enters through the oil inlet, it passes through the mesh as it enters the main filter chamber.  The IOW Q series automatic backflushing filter is the only one of its kind to contain large O-rings that completely seal the distributor cover. These O-rings completely seal the distributor cover to avoid cross-contamination of the dirty oil with the already-cleaned oil. Ensuring contaminants are permanently removed from the lubricating system and do not re-enter at any stage of the filtration process.

2. Superior Filter Mesh

The IOW Q series automatic backflushing filter uses superior mesh within the filter elements for more efficient oil filtration. Other brands use an inferior mesh that easily blocks and, in turn, clogs the filter meaning more service and maintenance is required. The Q series automatic backflushing filter mesh weave has an improved geometrical design that aids finer separation and also helps to stop the elements from becoming blocked. The Q series mesh design ensures your backflushing filter elements stay cleaner for longer supporting higher filtration performance for your oil. 3. Plastic Molded for a Perfect Seal

The Q series automatic backflushing filter contains filter elements made of molded plastic to form perfectly sealed filtering compartments. The filter elements within the Q series automatic backflushing filter are made of molded plastic to enable a complete seal within each filtering section. Dirty oil enters the stack of filter elements through a series of inlet slots and is forced through each element filtering compartment and through the mesh to remove soot, contaminants, and dirt from the lubrication oil. Each filtering compartment is a completely sealed ring/cylinder. Cross-contamination is avoided by using molded plastic for these filter elements so they can squeeze together to form perfect sealed filtering compartments for the oil to travel through.

Pressure.

The IOW eQlyps automatic backflushing lube oil filter is fitted with a low-maintenance magnetically sealed Magnaline pump, which provides extra suction/pressure. Magnaline pumps are magnetically sealed and are completely leak-free. This keeps maintenance low, and installation is easy, as there is no need for alignment of the motor/pump.

This is required to link the Q series automatic backflushing filter to the market-leading IOW MP centrifuge filter. The magnetically sealed Magnaline pump ensures the correct backflushed lube oil pressure to the IOW MP centrifuge filter.

Force.

The higher the centrifuge filter RPMs, the better the separation efficiency. With the marketing-leading IOW MP centrifuge filter attached to the Q series automatic backflushing filter, dirt, soot, and contaminants larger than 1 micron will no longer be returned to the sump.

All IOW MP centrifuge filters utilize bowl disc technology which greatly improves the separation efficiency of the IOW products. The IOW centrifuge filters are unique in having bowl discs for these types of centrifuges – this feature is not available from any other manufacturer.  The IOW centrifuge filters have been designed to eliminate cross-contamination between contaminated oil and cleaned oil, from the unique impeller drawing oil in at the base of the units to oil-sealed components. All ensure cleaned oil and dirty oil remain separate.
