The Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC) is an alliance of electric energy providers and industry stakeholders across the Caribbean and the Americas. Its mission is to support the sector by providing business solutions, capacity building, networking, knowledge sharing, advocacy, and mutual assistance. The association was founded as an Association of Electric Utilities, with additional membership categories for “Associate” and “Affiliate” members, comprising companies that conduct business in the industry.

In keeping with the previous Strategic Plan for the period 2017 to 2022, and the current Strategic Plan for 2023 to 2030, the Association has transitioned and repositioned into an “association of electric energy providers” and now includes a specific membership category for “Independent Power Producers (IPPs)”, as well as Board level representation for this membership category.
