What happened to American BOA?
In January 2020, American BOA Inc. sold its metal hose line to Universal Metal Hose, a Hyspan Group company. Universal Metal Hose (now called Universal Hose & Braid) is part of the Hyspan Group, so the hose business now sits under the Hyspan umbrella.
As part of the deal, Universal Metal Hose moved all hose-related inventory, materials, and equipment to its South Holland, Illinois facility. It also took over the engineering designs, manufacturing documentation, sales records, and quality records tied to the line, and it continues to represent metal hose made by BOA Flexible Solutions S.A.S.
American BOA Expansion Joints & Hoses
For customers, that means the products did not simply disappear. The entire Hyspan Group and Universal Hose & Braid have committed to maintaining American BOA’s quality standards and customer support. Hyspan also supports and manufactures replacement American BOA expansion joints, so customers can still service existing installations. Separator Spares & Equipment, LLC is an authorized Hyspan distributor and can supply replacement American BOA expansion joints and hoses, particularly for maritime and power generation applications.
