Kelvion Concitherm is an efficient gasketed plate heat exchanger used as an evaporator. Optimized plate design enables wide flow gaps with few contact points, even with 3 m² plates per laser-welded cassette. Low pressure losses, in the heat exchanger, avoid an intermediate pump, which reduces installation and operational costs. In comparison to conventional tube evaporators, Kelvion Concitherm offers an almost 100% higher heat transfer rate. Concitherm plate evaporators can serve as boosters to conventional evaporators as well as stand-alone applications within the sugar, food, and chemical industries.

The Kelvion Free Flow gasketed plate heat exchanger systems are suitable for products containing solids, crystals, fibers, pulp, and highly viscous media. A coarse-waved corrugation, specially developed for these media, means that the plates are not susceptible to soiling. Wide flow channels with no contact points prevent blockages. For special applications, both wide and narrow flow gaps can be combined in a Kelvion Free Flow system.

A special gasket, combined with stainless steel plates and a revolutionary frame design, form the basis for a low-cost, food-safe heat exchanger.

Critical media limits the usage of plate heat exchangers fitted with conventional gaskets. Kelvion can offer a technological alternative: the LWC gasketed plate heat exchanger made of laser welded cassettes (laser welded technology). These cassettes are fitted with gaskets only in the flow opening area. The special gaskets are resistant to the most aggressive media. The successful OptiWave design of the NT Series is also used for LWC and guarantees efficient heat transfer. The exclusive plate corrugation pattern of the OptiWave design allows an even media flow distribution across the entire plate surface.

With the Kelvion ND gasketed plate heat exchanger series, Kelvion created an extremely reliable variant of the conventional gasketed heat exchanger for high demands concerning safety and regulatory requirements. Two especially thin plates, which are welded together at the port hole, create a narrow leakage gap within a double wall. In the event of the rupture of a plate, this clever solution ensures that the intermixture of incompatible media remains excluded and that the rupture is indicated. The compact design and the functionality of the double-wall meets the high standard that is expected.

Wherever high-pressure resistance is required by the applications, the Kelvion NH gasketed plate heat exchanger series proves its extreme load capacity. The high-performance gasketed plate heat exchanger withstands operating pressures of up to 30 bar. Apart from this, the shaping of plate materials such as titanium or special materials such as SMO 254, Alloy 59, Alloy 686 and C-276 is easily possible. The Kelvion NL gasketed plate heat exchanger series has been specially developed for fluids with high viscosity and shear-sensitive media. It offers all the advantages of the plate features of the NT Series, such as PosLoc assembly, EcoLoc gasket system, and the proven OptiWave design, as well as a clearly deeper corrugation depth. The exclusive plate corrugation pattern of the OptiWave design allows an even media flow distribution across the entire plate surface.

Kelvion NL 80M

The Kelvion NP gasketed plate heat exchanger series has been specially developed to address the increasing demand for cold supply in high-rise buildings, data centers, and district cooling. The adoption of a plate with a narrower plate gap and a smaller pitch ensures the highest heat transfer performance. It is perfect for applications with extremely low-temperature differences and high NTU valves. It withstands an extremely high test pressure of up to 42 bar(g).

The Kelvion NPL gasketed plate heat series utilized high-pressure laser-welded technology. The Kelvin NPL gasketed plate heat exchanger combines the advantages of a highly efficient plate and a laser-welded cassette. The HPL plate gas is extremely narrow with turbulent flow for highly efficient heat transfer.

The Kelvion NX gasketed plate heat exchanger series represents the latest step forward for clean, low-viscosity media in elevated-pressure applications. It delivers temperatures down to 1°F, with fewer plates and a single pass design. In the Kelvion gasketed plate heat exchanger, the corrugated plates are fitted with gaskets that seal the channels and direct the fluids into alternate channels. The plate pack is assembled between a frame plate and a pressure plate and compressed by tightening bolts fitted between these different plates. The channel plates and the pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, both of which are fixed to the support column. The physical design of the Kelvion gasketed plate heat exchangers allows easy in-line cleaning (maintenance friendly assembly) and capacity modification by adding or removing plates.
